Our NC Concealed Carry Class in Asheboro is an 8-hour, state-approved course designed for responsible North Carolina gun owners who want to learn how to carry safely, confidently, and responsibly. Who this class is for:
This class is designed for North Carolina residents who want to obtain their concealed handgun permit and develop a stronger foundation in responsible firearm ownership and defensive decision-making.
No previous firearms training is required, but students should be prepared to safely handle a handgun during the live-fire portion of the course.
You will need the following for this class:
Eye protection
Ear protection
Note pad & pen
Handgun with a minimum of 30 rounds
If you don’t have a handgun, you may use one of ours for $20. Ammo is included.

Cancellation Policy:
All course and registration fees are non-refundable. In the event that a student is unable to attend a course and provides at least 72 hours' notice, the fee may be transferred to another student or applied to a future course, where possible.
Transfers must be declared within six months of the missed session. One transfer is allowed per student per calendar year. "No shows" and cancellations within 72 hours of the scheduled course will forfeit all transfer opportunities.
If severe weather is forecasted but conditions remain safe for travel and training, the class will continue as planned. Students who feel uncomfortable traveling may request to reschedule for a future class date at no additional cost.
Sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise and we may have to move a class date or move to a different location for the classroom. Students may be moved to a future class or receive a refund if the future class doesn’t fit their schedule.
We communicate important information about classes via email; while we make every attempt to contact students if something happens,we are not responsible for attendance issues due to using old email address or unread emails.

How long is the class?
NC law requires the class to be a minimum of 8 hours with at least two of those covering the laws of deadly force.

price can also change depending on location, instructors, range requirements, classroom requirements, and what materials are supplied.
You’ll see prices from $50 to $150, the average is around $100.

Our method of teaching is unique and includes teaching principles that ensure you will understand and have the ability to safely handle a firearm after the class. Our team is dedicated to providing the best instruction to everyone including new gun owners!
Don’t have a handgun?
We have a handgun that you may use along with ammunition to shoot the drill or qualification, or you can use one from someone else you know, as long as it’s legally possessed.

What is the qualification?
The concealed carry qualification is pretty simple, 10 rounds fired at 3 yards, 10 rounds fired at 5 yards, and 10 rounds fired at 7 yards. at least 21 of 30 hitting within a “silhouette” target.
Firearm must be a Handgun in legal terms. Yes, a pistol and handgun are different. The projectile must be propelled by gunpowder. Rimfire or centerfire cartridges are both adequate.

Where do I apply for my permit after the class?

You will apply with the Sheriff Dept. in your county of residence. You’ll need to make an appointment and complete some documentation with them. Most Dept. will have the documentation online for you or you can visit the HQ in your county, and most will assist you.
Looking for a private concealed carry class?

We offer private concealed carry classes for individuals and small groups that would like to take it together. The starting price is $400 and that covers 2 people, each additional person is $75.
Classroom and range use can be arranged or if you have a safe place to hold both, we can travel to you! Maximum class size is 6
Do we offer women’s only classes?

Yes! We have a female instructor that leads these classes. Look in the dropdown menu for “women’s only”.

Caught with a concealed handgun without a permit?

This isn’t legal advice in any manner, contact an attorney for legal representation.
In most cases, those who have been charged with carrying of a concealed handgun without a permit will be ordered to take a concealed carry class to prove they are knowledgeable of NC laws regarding the use of force and the legal requirements of carrying a handgun.
What comes after I get my permit?

After you receive your permit, you should continue to train and strive to better yourself!
Fundamental mastery is the next step; I usually advise students to practice for a month then move to the next class.
