$250.00

Shepherds Defense Group's Competitive Shooting Training in Asheboro, NC helps everyday shooters learn how to safely and confidently participate in organized shooting competitions.

Competitive shooting can look fast, intense, and overwhelming from the outside; but with the right guidance, it becomes one of the best ways to sharpen your skills, build confidence, and measure your growth as a protector. This course is designed for everyday shooters who want to step into the world of competition with clarity, safety, and purpose.

This class builds on the discipline you developed in Concealed Carry, the mechanics you refined in Fundamental Mastery, and the speed you’ve built in the performance course. You’ll learn how to apply those skills in a structured, safe, and encouraging competitive environment.

Who is this for?

  • This class is designed for everyday shooters who are interested in competitive shooting but aren't sure how to get started. You don't need to be an experienced competitor or the fastest shooter on the range.

This class is a good fit if you:

  • Have never shot a formal competition

  • Want to try USPSA, Multi gun, or another organized shooting sport

  • Want to learn how a match works

  • Want to improve your shooting under a timer

  • Want to become more efficient with your handgun or carbine

  • Want to test your skills in a structured environment

What you’ll learn:

  • Understanding Match Flow & Rules — How stages work, what to expect, and how to navigate your first match with confidence.

  • Gear Setup — Choosing the right equipment and setting up your belt or holster for efficiency.

  • Stage Planning & Strategy — How to read a stage, plan your movement, and make smart decisions before the timer starts.

  • Movement & Efficiency — Learning to move with purpose, manage transitions, and maintain control under time pressure.

  • Scoring & Accountability — Understanding hit factors, penalties, and how accuracy and speed work together.

  • Building Confidence Under the Timer — Learning to perform safely and consistently when the buzzer goes off.

What You'll Need

Firearm: Reliable handgun, carbine, or both.

Ammunition: 300 rounds total. If using two firearms, split approximately 150/150.

Belt: Tactical or competition belt with appropriate magazine pouches.

Holster: Appropriate holster if using a handgun.

Eye & Ear Protection

This class isn’t about being the fastest or the flashiest — it’s about becoming more capable, more confident, and more accountable. Every skill is taught with the same mission that guides all of Shepherds Defense Group:

Equip the protector. Strengthen the family. Honor the calling.

And we train with the conviction of Nehemiah 4:14:“…fight for your families…”Competition sharpens the protector; not for trophies, but for readiness, discipline, and the courage to stand prepared.
